SNAXX, The Million Experience and the people behind them.
SNAXX up close, The Million Experience live with KruxBand, and the family behind both shows.

A lot of us have made Halifax home while carrying another place with us. I wanted us to have rooms where that could be heard and felt—in the music, in who was performing and in the people standing next to us. That’s the reason behind the shows.
SNAXX began with aRENYE—Renny to us—back in uni. He created it with that same purpose: bringing people together through music and giving them somewhere to connect. Then I jacked it and brought it into Million Vibes as an imprint. The credit for where it began belongs to him.
As aRENYE put it on Soulstice Radio with KAYO: ‘I steal.’ I’m borrowing his line here, too. Renny, I’m giving you your flowers: I saw something worth carrying forward, and I wanted it to have a home within MV.
SNAXX is a show with a cozy, intimate setup. It’s somewhere to discover new artists and watch MV artists up close, with room for the music to meet people in a smaller setting. We want you to come curious, hear someone you might not have come across before and get familiar with the people making the music around you.
You can come for an artist you already know and leave with someone new to look up. You can catch an MV artist in a setting that feels close and personal. That kind of discovery matters to us, and SNAXX gives it a regular place in the world we’re building.
The Million Experience is our once-a-year live show with KruxBand. That’s where we bring the collective together for the annual band show and give the songs room to take on a live arrangement. The artists, the players and the audience are all part of how it comes together.
Presh, our Music Director, is a pianist and the founder of KruxBand. His work is part of the connection between the artists and the live band. It’s an important piece of The Million Experience: the people shaping the music behind the performance deserve to be known, too.
Across MV, aRENYE, BADI, BASYL, Bode Peters, F$RGO, KAYO, NULO, Presh, SHANII, The B and Yung St4k all bring something different. We have different sounds, backgrounds and ways of working. I like that we can hold those differences and still build something together.
To me, this is family. The relationship doesn’t begin when a flyer goes up or end when the lights come on. It’s in how we make room for one another, back each other’s work and care about where we’re all going. I want that closeness to be felt by the people who come through, too.
That includes the friends who bring someone along, the photographers who document it and everyone who keeps showing up. SNAXX and The Million Experience are two shows with their own feel, and the people around them give both their purpose. We want you to find music you connect with and people you’ll want to see again.
na the yarn be that
